People all over this country are crying out for change. The nation is sliding down a slope of hopelessness, frantically trying to grab any small branch or rock protruding out of this merciless cliff. If America is ever going to change its current trajectory of full scale destruction, its men must change. In particular, its Christian men. Not women, not children, but men! Men who have received Jesus Christ as Savior must obey Him as LORD. Jesus is our "Commander and Chief." If society is to change, Men must change! "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments." (John 14:15)
Like it or not, God has given men the responsibility of spiritual leadership in our homes, churches and communities. Christian Men, R.E.A.L. Men, were created by God to express the life of Christ to a fallen and severely broken people. Therefore, all human societies will reflect the spiritual condition of the hearts of its men and it will be seen for generations to come.
Have the minds of believers become so convoluted that we are willing to follow abrasively, abusive men? Men who claim to be Christian, yet lead us into a vortex of anger and bitterness toward one another. Men who are steadily chipping away at the fragile peace that currently exists as the United States of America. Far from being a "Christian" nation, we are fast becoming a nation of imbeciles, acquiescing to the influence of God's enemy, all the while proclaiming the "lesser of two evils." "Don't be deceived, God is not mocked..." We the people cannot depend on anyone but God. Titus 1:15-16 states, "To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work."
The condition of the nation is not determined by which political faction is in power, but rather by which "spiritual" power to whom its men are submitted. We are locked in a spiritual battle, fighting for the affections of our hearts. The spiritual walls intended to protect us are in shambles and our brothers, sons, daughters, wives and homes suffer tragically because men of God will not fight. Somehow it seems Christian men have come to the conclusion that our salvation can be found in the hands of who controls the government. But, God is in control - "The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD like channels of water, He turns it wherever He wants." (Proverbs 21:1) God will turn the heart of the king, if He can find some men who will fight for holiness. R.E.A.L. Men who are not intimidated by God's enemy, but stand strong and courageous, full of the Holy Spirit, focused on the task at hand and not distracted by false or counterfeit promises of the enemy!
Jesus Christ is our only hope and the LORD GOD makes an astoundingly true promise to His children Israel, from which Christians can draw some solace. In the book of 1 Samuel, Israel cries out to God for a king, so they can be like the rest of the nations surrounding them. Although God wanted to be their King, the people rejected Him as such. So God gave them what they requested along with a promise; "If you fear the LORD and serve Him and obey His voice, and do not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then both you and the king who reigns over you will continue following the LORD your God." (1 Samuel 12:14) And again in the New Testament, Romans 13 states in part, "Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore, whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God's minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil." God is in control. Are there any R.E.A.L. Men in the country?
Christian men, R.E.A.L. Men, not the government, must accept the responsibility to lead and protect their families, churches, neighborhoods, and nation. R.E.A.L. Men At War who fight, standing strong and courageous, defending liberty and justice for all empowered by God the Holy Spirit. It doesn't matter who is in the White House, God is looking for men through whom He can show Himself strong!
"R.E.A.L. Men are Righteous, Encouraging, Accountable, Loving followers of Jesus Christ, sold-out to living a Godly life and expanding God's influence throughout the earth. R.E.A.L. Men are motivated to being transformed daily into the likeness of Christ in everything they think, say, and do. R.E.A.L. Men are not perfect, instead they rest in the perfection that's found only in obedience to their Savior and LORD Jesus Christ. R.E.A.L. Men are roped together as brothers, fellow soldiers, helping each other transverse the daily hazards of life as they ascend the mountain of Christ-centered manhood."
The United States of America can be a R.E.A.L. Christian nation, a nation after God's heart, one R.E.A.L. Man at a time! We must remember and trust the word of God in 2 Chronicles 7:13-14. God will do it through us!
